Do:
Find a quiet, distraction free environment
Email targeted assignment to Andrew@hillzskillz.com before the session begins
Stay engaged and respond using microphone
Present your screen when needed
Courtesy copy parents/guardians on any communication
Don’t:
Use of webcam by either participant is not required or needed for most sessions
Lack of participation, disrespect, or repeated disruptions will result in terminating the session without refund.
Don’t forget tutoring is HELP. It is not an assurance that improvement will happen to the student’s grade. Student’s grades are based on the teacher’s assessment of student’s performance.

Experience
Previously enlisted in the Air Force, our lead tutor ran training sections for 200+ personnel, teaching classes in first aid, rapid assembly line procedures, and administered college level course material. Afterwards, he assisted developing and implementing standards based curriculum for 1st grade and 4th grade classes within the North Carolina school system. After being certified as an educator, he dedicated 3 years to teaching 9th grade Math/Honors Math in the high school setting. For the last three years, he has been teaching 8th grade Math and Algebra 1 Honors at Black Water Middle School in Conway, SC.
Typical Tutoring Session Flow:
1. Update on current grades in applicable class with list of missing assignments.
2. Develop a plan for remedial action, whether that be completing assigned work or supplementing current instruction
3. Implement action plan and review.
Hours
During the Summer: Monday through Friday 7am - 9pm
During the School Year: Monday through Friday 7pm - 9pm

$20 per half-hour
