

Guitar Lessons at a fair price

Experience teaching all ages
Mr. Hill learned guitar at an early age, passed down from his father. He has taught many students from ages as young as 6 to as young as 35. Left handed or right handed players need not worry, we have practice guitars on site strung both ways.

Equipment Introduction
Learn the construction of a guitar, key components and layout of the fretboard. Discover the different sounds you can make with amp modeling, effects pedals, and types of gear used.

Tuning
We beginning with installing a new set of strings. Learn traditional tuning using web tools, tuners, and tuning by ear. Discover alternative tunings used by bands such as Nirvana, Metallica, and System of a Down.

Basic Chords and Scales
Once students have demonstrated the ability to play single notes clearly, they will begin learning basic chords. Students will develop skills switching between chords and playing along with rudimentary songs. Afterwards, students will learn scales of notes, an essential building block for developing lead riffs.

Reading Guitar Tablature
Guitar tablature is somewhat similar to sheet music. However, instead of translating notes and tempo, tablatures give finger positioning on the fretboard. This allows students to play ANY song transcribed.

Saturday - Monday 8am - 8pm
Tuesday 8am - 3pm
Friday 5pm - 8pm
During School Year:
Saturday - Sunday 8am -8pm
Monday and Friday, 5pm - 8pm
RATE
$40 per hour
